London is a city that I have a love hate relationship with. I love its liveliness yet I hate its traffic. I love the lush greens of Hyde park yet I dread the incessant rain. I love the lavish shopping yet I wish there wasn’t a sea of people. I love that the tube arrives every 3 minutes yet I would much prefer to just hop into my car. My relationship with London is certainly a confused one.
For years I wanted to move to London. I just felt like I had to get out of small town Melbourne, see the world, and fill some apparent void in my life. But now that I’ve had a taste of London life, I see it in a different light. It’s almost like a home away from home where everything is new yet familiar. It is super easy to just slip right in and live like a Londoner, just as millions of people do every year. But as special as Londontown is, I seem to appreciate the place that I call home just that little bit more every time I’m away.
I’m wearing: Burberry coat, Alexander McQueen scarf, Uniqlo tee, Zara shorts, Balenciaga bag, Rag and Bone Durham booties.
