I’m so happy the Shopbop sale has arrived – just in time for my upcoming trip to the Maldives! I missed out on going to the Maldives last year to celebrate our first year anniversary due to health issues so I’m really happy that we can go this year. As you’d expect, I’ve had my eyes on a few things to bring with me!
The sale starts today and runs through to Sunday 8 March 2015.

A. Zimmermann Porcelain Embroidery Romper – I really do believe that a cute little playsuit is a must for any resort holiday and Zimmermann is one of my favourite brands when it comes to playsuits. I love this particular playsuit because it is so girly and intricately made.
B. CM Cia Maritima – I love the colour of this bikini and the shape is so sexy.
C. Zimmermann Pivot Vortex One Piece Swimsuit – I’ve never been a big fan of one piece swimsuits due to tan lines but this white one piece just looks so hot and you can just wear shorts over it to double up as a top and prance around the resort. *wink*
D. Zimmermann Rayon Tank Dress - In addition to a playsuit you must bring at least one maxi dress. I am in love with the neckline of this dress and also the print. This dress is already on sale so you get a further discount with the code!
E. Hat Attack The Original Panama Fedora – You obviously can’t leave without a hat. The downside of bringing a straw hat is that you won’t be able to store it in your suitcase.
F. Zimmermann Pivot Vortex Bikini Set – Just like the one piece in white, I also love this two piece in black. I seem to have this condition where I need everything in 2 colours!
G. Ancient Greek Sandals Clio Two Band Sandal – There are so many gorgeous sandals on Shopbop at the moment but I like this two coloured pair in particular.
Whilst shopping for items for my trip, I got a little side tracked…just a little..and thought I’d share these items with you.
As you all already know I’m in love with anything draped. It is just such a versatile look and will match with nearly any top you have in your wardrobe. If you’ve been putting it off, now is the time for a draped leather jacket!
A. B. C. D. BB Dakota Lillian Drapey Front Jacket – My must-have-every-colour condition strikes again. I know you don’t need this jacket in 4 different colours but I just can’t decide which colour I love the most. Probably the grey. Or maybe the pink. But you can never go wrong with black! The price is also very reasonable. I have purchased from BB Dakota in the past and the quality is decent for what you pay.
E. BB Dakota Tyne Leather Jacket in Black – If you are looking for an investment piece I would definitely say this is the one to buy. I love the style and also the shape.
F. Pattina Leather Jacket in Light Nude – This is slightly drapier than the other styles which I also don’t mind. It also comes in black.
G. BB Dakota Tyne Leather Jacket in Bone - Same style as E, but it also comes in bone and grey.
H. Rissi Leather Jacket in Black - This is similar to the Pattina Leather Jacket but is on sale!
I also came across some dresses for different occasions and a few casual items I love:
A. Diane Von Furstenberg Zarita Dress – I’ve had my eye on this dress for years. It is such a cute lace dress and at a much more affordable price point than Lover the label. You can wear this dress to dinners, hens parties, birthday parties. Seriously, almost every occasion. It comes in 4 different colours and I would even wear the black or the navy to a wedding. I think it is such a gorgeous piece to have in your wardrobe. The reviews for this dress would seem to agree.
B. 5th and Mercer – Who can resist a pop of hot pink? Such a versatile dress and with my workplace being quite casual, I would actually wear this to work. I might have to warn people to wear sunglasses indoor but a pop of colour will brighten everyone’s mood – I guarantee it. This dress also comes in 4 colours – the pink and blue are my favourites.
C. Milly Striped T Back Dress - This dress is so hot. As mentioned above I’m obsessed with this neckline. I am not as lucky as some girls to be endowed with good assets – in fact I’m quite flat and bony chested. V-neck does not suit me at all which is why I’m so happy that the neckline of this dress seems to be the neckline for the season! I see it in many tops and also dresses. You must also check out the back of this dress, it is GORGEOUS. Unfortunately for me, size 0 is all sold out but all other sizes are still available.
D. Tigerlily Talamanca Maxi Dress – If you are into a little boho, this is the dress for you. The colours are gorgeous and it just looks effortless. Again, you must check out the back of this dress – you will get a little surprise.
E. Prabal Gurung Pencil Skirt – This is definitely an investment piece. I often see Bec Judd wearing a colourful patterned skirt with a blocked coloured top on the weather channel and I think it looks so gorgeous on her. I think a long or mid sleeve light pink or navy silk top would go beautifully with this skirt.
F. Three Dots 2×1 Long Cardigan – My wardrobe lacks a long knit cardigan!
G. Capulet Notch Collar Blazer - Gone are the days of my Zara blazers which I now think look a bit cheap. I love how fitted and tailored this jacket looks on the model. I would definitely love to add this piece to my classic wardrobe collection.
H. Clu Clu Too Pleated Sweater Dress – I actually already bought this sweater dress and absolutely love it. I always receive compliments when I wear it. Check out the beautiful Nicole Warne in this dress here.
Accessories are a must:
B. Alexis Bittar Encrusted Overlapping Cuff Bracelet - Perfect accessory for a fancy dinner or a wedding.
C. Phyllis and Rosie Jewelry – Love the pendant.
D. Alexander Wang Antonia Ankle Strap Sandals -I don’t know why but I still to this day am lacking a pair of nude sandals in my shoe collection.
E. 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli Mini Satchel – Hands down the best bag on sale at Shopbop at them moment.
