Don’t miss this 3 days only sale from Shopbop! If you have been eyeing that special item for a while and it has been on your wish list now is the time to get it!! Also, don’t forget to check out the new arrivals if you are planning to travel somewhere warmer than Melbourne at the moment. As America is heading into their summer season, they have beautiful new summer arrivals. I love these dresses:

2016-04-14 06.20.05 pm

1. Vince Long Sleeve Linen Dress

2. Alice + Olivia Karman Sheer Insert Dress

3. Helmut Lang Side Drape Dress

As for the rest of us staying in Australia, I think we are seeing the last of our warm weather which means time to stock up on some Autumn clothing.

1. Levi’s 501 Jeans

Everyone needs a pair of relaxed denim in their life. The older I get the looser my jeans become!

2. Rag and Bone Floppy Brim Fedora

This hat will add style to any look.

3. Nixon Kensington Leather Watch

I don’t understand how people can live without a watch. I find it so frustrating rummaging through my bag looking for my phone, just to find out the time!

4. FRAME Le Henley Raglan Top

Can’t live without knits every autumn.

5. RAILS Hunter Button Down Shirt

Super relaxed and super comfy.

6. BAGGU Drawstring Bucket Bag

This will go with just about anything.

7. Acne Studios Jensen Grain Chelsea Booties

8. Ray-Ban Outsiders Oversized Wayfarer Sunglasses

All my friends own a pair of these!

White night and Movida next door

I was flicking through some photos on my camera when I came across this pic my hubby took about a month or 2 ago. It was White Night in Melbourne and I still remember the night vividly. My girlfriends had planned to go but I declined. Instead, J and I were sitting in our living room on our recently purchased and extremely comfortable couch, wearing our extremely comfortable pjs drinking hot milo. We were watching back to back episodes of Suits, living vicariously through Harvey Specter. I knew J really wanted to go to White Night but somewhere between my hives and My Kitchen Rules becoming the highlight of my day, I had become a homebody.

J’s BIG 3-0 Surprise Birthday Party!

Startwithblack J 30 f

There’s one thing I forgot to add to my 2013 list. I organised a surprise 30th birthday party for J a week before our wedding. I think I was already on auto pilot at that stage and feeling a little mental. Thankfully Cumulus Inc took care of everything and the service was just superb. Their function room was a little art gallery just right next to the restaurant and it was the perfect venue for the party of about 30 guests. The table arrangements, menu and drinks were all taken care of. I also hired a jazz trio (Downtime Jazz) to play some contemporary tunes during pre dinner drinks. They were fabulous!

My Bridal Shower

Bridal Shower 1a

Bridal Shower 3b

Bridal Shower 5a

Bridal Shower 7-2

Bridal Shower 8a

I want to say a big big big thank you to all my beautiful bridesmaids for organising this amazing surprise bridal shower for me! The party started the day before with the girls taking me to crown Metropol for a night where I saw Manu! But again, we played the cool fan and didn’t ask for a photo. Regretful!

I am just so touched my girlies put so much effort into throwing me this classy and elegant bridal shower. They hired tables, chairs, vintage cutlery and I can just imagine what a nightmare it would be transporting all the items. The food was also amazing! We had savoury finger food like mini peking duck wraps and a thousand other things I don’t even know the name of. My beautiful bridesmaids and one of my bridesmaid’s mum also made tira misu, chocolate brownies and macrons! The beautiful decorations was also handmade by my bridesmaids.

We played games and mind you I was so bad at the games I had to drink about 10 shots of champagne. I think they set me out to fail! We also played pass the parcel – which I haven’t played since primary school and it was just SO much fun. Oh, and one last thing I LOVED the teapot cake!

I can’t believe I’m getting married THIS Sunday! I’m so stressed out!
