Having moved in to our new place last year, J and I have been toiling away to create our perfect space. It’s a seemingly never ending decision making process. But at least we’ve agreed on a theme – ours is showing a decisively modern Scandinavian influence.
Homeware shopping is addictive, and so when funkis invited me to their new store launch in Melbourne’s re-designed Strand Arcade I was genuinely excited!
Hailing from Sydney, funkis celebrates an excellent selection of Swedish and Scandinavian design in fashion, home-wares, accessories and interiors. Melbournites can now indulge in funkis’s trademark fashion, clogs and sandals – handmade from sustainable plantation timber and natural veggie dyed leather. Also included in funkis’ diverse mix is clothing from Marimekko, ATP and cult Swedish label Rodebjer as well as home-wares from the likes of Normann Copenhagen, Tom Dixon, Lindform and Thorbergs Reading Glasses.
I will definitely be visiting on a regular basis to check out what new wares they have on offer!
