Some warmup shots taken by my hubby during our photoshoot with Jim Liaw in Phuket. The whole shoot was done in Hilton Phuket. The Hilton resort in Phuket is massive! My feet were so sore by the end of the shoot and I just can’t wait to see and show you all the finish product! Will update you more on this story later!
Also, Trisara is HEAVEN on EARTH. Probably the BEST resort I’ve ever stayed in! Will post more photos of our time in this paradise soon!
I’m wearing an amazing Carla Zampatti lace dress (sz 4) and Chanel shoes.
I want to say a big big big thank you to all my beautiful bridesmaids for organising this amazing surprise bridal shower for me! The party started the day before with the girls taking me to crown Metropol for a night where I saw Manu! But again, we played the cool fan and didn’t ask for a photo. Regretful!
I am just so touched my girlies put so much effort into throwing me this classy and elegant bridal shower. They hired tables, chairs, vintage cutlery and I can just imagine what a nightmare it would be transporting all the items. The food was also amazing! We had savoury finger food like mini peking duck wraps and a thousand other things I don’t even know the name of. My beautiful bridesmaids and one of my bridesmaid’s mum also made tira misu, chocolate brownies and macrons! The beautiful decorations was also handmade by my bridesmaids.
We played games and mind you I was so bad at the games I had to drink about 10 shots of champagne. I think they set me out to fail! We also played pass the parcel – which I haven’t played since primary school and it was just SO much fun. Oh, and one last thing I LOVED the teapot cake!
I can’t believe I’m getting married THIS Sunday! I’m so stressed out!
My bridesmaid who recently started her own photography business generously offered to take some pre wedding photos with J and I. I’m so proud of what she has achieved and the photos turned out amazing. I had so much fun shooting that day! Thanks KYLEEEEE!! Check out her blog at Kytography!

Wedding shoes dilemma!
I’ve been looking at wedding shoes diligently for a couple of months now but I just cannot make up my mind. I need to decide on a pair of shoes in order to get my dress altered. My tailor would not alter my dress until I decide on the heel height at the very least! Initially, I was determined on wearing a pair of red soles but now I’m not so sure anymore.
I want a pair of shoes that I would wear again and again long after the wedding is over if only to serve as a reminder of my special day every time I put them on. Hence, I’m a little skeptical about the “White” selection as I don’t think I would wear them again even if it matches my wedding dress.
1. Miu Miu – Satin Peep-Toe Pumps
2. Valentino – Satin and Crystal- Embroidered Lace Pumps
3. Christian Louboutin – Milady 85 Satin-Covered Leather pumps
4. Giuseppe Zanotti – Rosette-embellished Satin Sandals
I would probably wear the “Nude” selection on a normal day to day basis the most but I really really don’t know if it would suit my dress. I personally love those Valentino studded leather sandals but my bridesmaids don’t think it’s the best idea!
1. Valentino – Patent-Leather Bow Pumps
2. Valentino – Studded leather sandals
The “Metallic” selection would probably go with my dress the best as the top half of my dress is heavily beaded with silver and beige beads. I, however, cannot really decide whether I want open toe or closed toe shoes. I hate deciding.
1. Jimmy Choo – Nova Glittered Gather Slingbacks
2. Christian Louboutin – Very Richer 120 Swarovski Crystal Suede Pumps
3. Badley Mischka – Viola Sandals
4. Jimmy Choo – Vikki Glitter-finished leather pumps
5. Christian Louboutin – Au Palace 120 Swarovski crystal-embellished sandals
6. Badgley Mischka – Vita Bow Pumps
Which pair do you like the best? I will keep you updated on my shoe dillema!
My Bridesmaid dresses arrived! To be honest, this wasn’t the dress I had in mind when I started looking for bridesmaid dresses. But as I continued searching, the dresses I saw just got more and more shocking. I can’t believe how ugly bridesmaid dresses are! So I made a rather quick decision to snap up these dresses from Zimmermann. Interestingly enough, even though Zimmermann is an Australian brand they don’t actually stock this particular style in this “Chili” color in Australia. I think it might only be available in America – both Shopbop and Saks stocks this particular dress. I even enquired with Zimmermann to see if they could put in a special order for me and the answer was no.
I’ve since tried this dress on and it is beautiful and quite well made. I’m sort of tempted to get one for myself but in this light grey mist color! Anyways, I’m just relieved that things worked out in the end and it’s one less thing to stress about!
Anonymous asked: Love reading your blog soo much and it’s given me a lot of help with my wardrobe. Just noticed in the last few posts that a gorgeous ring has popped up on Elle’s left finger Are you engaged?
Hello!! Sorry to get back to you so late. Thank you so much for your lovely comment! You certainly have very sharp eyes =) Yes, I am engaged!!
The day was the 6th of September 2011, and it had just gone 10am in the morning. The location was the majestic 620 Loft & Garden at the Rockefeller Center in the heart of New York City. It was totally unexpected and to be honest, my emotions were unexpected too! I think I was more scared and nervous than anything else! My heart was pumping like crazy and the first thing that came out of my mouth was “What are you doing?! Get up!”
Excuse the paparazzi looking shots – the boy hired a photographer to capture the moment and she was hiding behind the bush. Much kudos to my boy for his wonderful efforts – having to contend with Hurricane Irene and torrential rain meant that months of planning and coordination were thrown into total disarray and everything had to be reorganised. No wonder he couldn’t eat anything during our first couple of nights in New York! Somehow he still managed to pull the wool over my eyes with a fabricated story and organized some sunshine. He even threw in a Chuck Bass style limousine for good measure!
A memorable stay at the New York Palace completed my Gossip Girl fantasy.
Celebratory lunch and bubbly at Asiate, whilst gazing over Central Park.
A room with a view – I was looking out the window at the Proposal location everyday and didn’t even know it.
